I was so excited to be asked to photograph Barbara and Jeff’s wedding. I’ve known Jeff for a few years, since I photographed him with a band he used to be in. Barbara is just lovely and they make an adorable couple.
Barbara and Jeff got married in the park on a beautiful Sunday. After the rain, and then hot weather, and the threat of May Gray, it was a perfect spring day- not too hot, not too windy, just right for being outside and enjoying the fresh air and sunshine.
Redwood Circle was a great semi-secluded area of Balboa Park for a wedding surrounded by trees. Everything was simple and perfect; chairs for the guests for the ceremony, a few tables for the reception, a catered picnic, simple flowers, and cupcakes on vintage serving trays and plates.
We did all the portraits before the ceremony so everyone could head to the party right after the ceremony.
We started with the bride and groom. All images – click on the photo to see it larger.
Barbara is fortunate enough to have two grandmothers, a great-grandmother and a great-grandfather who were able to attend the wedding. They were her priority for photos, after her and Jeff of course.
And parents are important, too! And of course, the adorable flower girl.
A lovely moment between Barbara and Jeff.
The ceremony was short and sweet with vows written by the couple.
The rest of the afternoon was a lovely catered picnic in the park with friends and family.
Catering by Famous Dave’s in Vista and oh boy was it delicious!
Cupcakes by Frost Me. Not only were they beautiful, but tasty, too! And delivered with personal care by Audrey Hermes, owner and baker, herself.
Chairs, tables, and linens by San Diego Party Rentals. They did a great job getting everything set up and ready.
Flowers and decorations by the bride and her family.
Congratulations Barbara and Jeff!
