Last weekend I was in Las Vegas to spend some time with some photographer friends. It was the annual WPPI convention, but really, just a good excuse to get together.
Saturday afternoon four of us drove out to Red Rock Canyon, just outside of Las Vegas. I am primarily a people photographer, but it’s always fun to do something different.
For this series of images, I used a variety of lens, from long zooms to fisheye, and had some fun playing with my Lensbaby, a cool special effects lens. What I really like about shooting with the Lensbaby is that it forces you to slow down and really think about the whole process of creating the image. And the images look really cool, too! They are the ones that look blurry or smeary around the edges.
