The Helen Woodward Animal Center (HWAC) is a unique, private, non-profit organization dedicated to saving the lives of animals and enriching the lives of people. For more than 30 years, this no-kill Center has provided humane care and adoption for orphaned animals, as well as animal-centered educational and therapeutic programs for people. The Center is a dynamic, evolving institution that is an agent of change for the animal welfare world. HWAC is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that is solely funded and supported by the generosity of individuals and corporations in their mission to continue to change the animal welfare world. I have partnered with HWAC to use my photographic skills to help them raise $10,000 to help meet their goals of helping as many animals and people as possible.
To have your pet or pets included in this special project, all it takes is a $100 contribution per pet (to a maximum of $300 per family). This contribution will be a tax-deductible donation directly to HWAC. The sessions will run like my regular portrait sessions – at the location of your choosing and can include pets or pets and their people.
To make this dream come true, I have set aside 100 sessions for the project between now and March 31, 2010. After all of the sessions are completed, I will be publishing a limited edition book of all of these pet portraits- pets of all shapes, sizes, and types; dogs, cats, birds, horses, snakes, other reptiles, fish- you name it! Portrait sessions are available during the week and occasional Saturdays.
